Project Overview

This project reimagines the traditional engagement ring through the lens of Gen-Z values; prioritizing personalization, affordability, and meaning over convention. As the diamond industry faces declining interest among younger consumers, there is an opportunity to rethink what a symbol of commitment can look like. Instead of a standardized, high cost object, this project proposes a customizable alternative rooted in personal experience.

Using algorithmic design, the ring transforms meaningful geographic coordinates into unique, generative patterns, allowing each piece to visually encode relationships and shared places. The result is a one of a kind wearable that shifts the focus from material value to emotional significance—offering a new kind of engagement ring that reflects individuality, connection, and the evolving priorities of a new generation.
